English 467: English Studies Capstone Experience
English 467: English Studies Capstone Experience is the final class in the NDSU English program. Students in capstone combine and apply all of the knowledge they have gained through their NDSU English career into a semester long project.

In English 467 you design a semester long project alongside with a project mentor, one of the NDSU English faculty. This project can be anything involving English Studies. You craft a short pitch at the beginning of the semester and pitch your project to all of the available mentors. After you select a mentor you design a project proposal with them to get approved by the Capstone professor. Once the proposal is done you begin work on the research and writing of the project with weekly check-ins with your mentor. About halfway into the semester you create a mid semester progress report to update your mentor and professor on everything that is happening with your project. At the end of the semester you put on a 12-15 minute presentation of your paper for the English Faculty, English 167 students, and anyone else who cares to listen.

I took English 467 my fall semester of Senior year with Dr. Andrianova. My project was mentored by Brady Bergeson and it was titled Telling Stories with a Rogue Narrator: The Intricacies of Video Game Storytelling
