English 167: Introduction to English Studies is the introduction course to the English major at North Dakota State University. In it students explore what the field of English studies is and what it means for the rest of the world.

In English 167 you learn how to write in three distinct genres. You learn how to explore your literacy journey and write a literacy autobiography for the first project. The second paper has you explore a specific field of English studies with a group of about four. Together you ask questions to the professors of that field then craft a group paper where you analyze the field. For the final project you complete field experience and write it down in the from of a memo where you analyze the organization you attended.

I had the opportunity to take English 167 at North Dakota Stat University my spring semester of Sophomore year. It was expertly taught by Dr. Kelly Sassi.
